A fresh perspective on inspiration

The idea of a vacation usually conjures up images of destinations far away from home. In the USA, places like Las Vegas, Florida, the Caribbean, and Europe are popular venues. The concept of spending one’s vacation time at home, however, is becoming more prevalent as people look for ways to economize. While much has been made of this growing trend, little has been said about one of the wonderful side benefits – the opportunity to view our own hometowns in a fresh light, from a very different perspective. Not only does a staycation allow us to do and see things we never seem to have the time for, it also provides a welcome disruption to our normal routine, giving us that heightened sense of perception we get when we travel to places far away. She gets to experience a vast diversity of people from around the world and she only had to take a subway ride to get there.
