A fresh perspective on inspiration
Child sex trafficking is a huge problem in developing countries, particularly in Southeast Asia. By some estimates, each year, hundreds of thousands of girls and boys are bought, sold or kidnapped and then forced to have sex with grown men. It’s hard for people in the developed world to imagine what could drive a parent to allow this sort of thing to occur (in the case of selling a child), but it’s also hard to imagine the extreme poverty and desperation the parents face, or the deception that occurs in many instances. The good news is that through awareness, education, and assistance, many countries are mounting intensive marketing campaigns to rid their areas of this type of exploitation and protect our most precious resource – children.
