In many parts of the world, people are loath to have their pictures taken by strangers. Either they are intrinsically shy, or their religious beliefs run counter to it, or it is simply considered rude. But there are some places where people love having their pictures taken, even beg you to take them. They tend to be from places that are relatively new to tourism, and seem genuinely pleased by the fact that a total stranger is interested enough in them to want to capture their image. Imagine getting a smile like this from a NYC cab driver!
