Gathering

It’s hard for those that live in so-called “developed countries” to imagine life without bars and restaurants to gather in to socialize.  But who needs bars, clubs, and DJs when you have a public square, a bonfire, a couple of musical instruments, and the desire to sing?  The need to socialize is universal, as seen is this photo taken in a vast public square in Marrakech, Morocco.  What differs is the venue in which the interaction occurs. In societies where more modern establishments are scarce, the gatherings tend to be much more creative and spontaneous.  And the singing is a lot less painful than karaoke!
