A fresh perspective on inspiration
The barber shop is at the center of many black communities. It’s the one place where, while waiting for your turn in the chair, you’ll hear conversations ranging from politics to sports and everything in between. Staying well groomed is a source of pride for many in the community. This translates to a trip to the barber shop about once every seven to ten days. If you wait two weeks, your likely to hear comments from your friends like, “you need to go get tightened up.” If you go every week, it can get a bit costly but some spare no expense when it comes to grooming. The barber shop is a place where black males have traditionally congregated in America. You rarely have unisex barber shops so the language and the discussions held are not usually politically correct. If you want to test a product or idea, barber shops are a pretty good place to get an honest opinion. Be prepared to deal with the possibility of your “great” idea being laughed right out of the shop.
