Extreme diversity

Skateboarding and BMX bike riding brings together kids from all different racial and ethnic backgrounds. They share a common bond, the love for extreme sports, which is stronger than their ethnic differences. The pursuit of these sports is no longer exclusive to kids from suburban backgrounds. Some of the best riders today honed their skills riding through urban environments. This group of kids in Jersey City New Jersey are of latin, Indian and Pakistani descent. Very different from the “Beach Bum” types that marketers have associated with skateboarding, snowboarding and trick bike riding in the past.
